Witches, Wizards, Werewolves

The Wereling by Stephen Cole starts out as a wacky book but it is actually very good. It is a trilogy so it gives a cliff hanger and the end of book one. So make sure the second is quickly available. It is a werewolf book based in the present with a secret community in the shadows.

Kite Runner

Wow definitely one of the better AP novels that I've had to read. Wait just so you know when I say AP don't run and hide. Some of them, dare I say, are actually pretty good. Anyway its about two boys in Afghanistan one is actually the master and the other is the servant. They spend their whole child life together until the unfortunate happens to the servant. And unfortunately he is sent away. Soon a war starts in Afghanistan and the master and his father leave to America. Some years later he must return to Afghanistan, but for what? Well... You'll just have to read.

There is also a sequel A Thousand Splendid Suns.

Flies!!!!!

Lord of the Flies sounds wacky right? Well the books a little wacky to, but it isn't all bad. Its about a group of English school boys who get stranded on an uninhabited island after a plan crash. At first everything is great, well as great as getting stuck on an uninhabited island could be. The boys even try to set up some rules and such, I know I was surprised too. One big problem, it all seems to be fun and games. Only a few of the boys realize the trouble they are in....

Well sound good? It's 236 pages of fun loving fire, smoke, and savages. Enjoy!!!!

Murder Mystery Game

Yes this is Fantasy Central, but we've got to have variety right? So recently I participated in this game. It was actually quit interesting. Its like clue only more like a role-playing. Anyways you can pretty much only do it once, but its fun to do it with a big group especially around Halloween.

Si fy come forth!

Alright I'll just come out and say it Stargate.

Sure the down fall is that the main characters always seem to be saving Earth every other episode, but hey, at least they got good (I mean bad) bad guys and they always seem unbeatable which I find makes the story line a tad bit more exciting. Speaking of exciting the action section is definitely not lacking, nor are the funnies. Trust me, you'll find your self busting up laughing.

One thing that I find so great about these shows is that they combine the past and the "future" to make this amazing story. You've got Ancient Egypt mostly, but they do throw in some Greek, other cultures, and Legends of King Arthur. Then we throw in some Asgard which would somewhat be equivalent to our ordinary little green men.

With in the Stargate we've got...
SG-1
Atlantis
and
SGU/ Universe
and a couple of movies

The Scarlet Letter....

Well lets just say I wouldn't nominate it for best book of the year type of award. It is very well written but the story line is very basic and doesn't have any adventure. It just deepens on what you like.
